■ Product Principle
The 7th axis is a linear guide system driven by a servo motor, using rack-and-pinion (or ball screw / belt) transmission. It receives robot commands and uses an encoder for real-time position feedback, enabling the robotic arm to move precisely along the track and significantly expand its working range.
■ Product Principle
1、High precision and high rigidity
Uses high-rigidity linear guides and rack-and-pinion transmission combined with closed-loop control. Repeat positioning accuracy can reach ±0.1 mm, ensuring stable and consistent operation quality.
2、Extended working range
Enables the robotic arm to move along the track, serving multiple workstations or large work-pieces, achieving “one system, multiple stations” and significantly improving equipment utilization.
3、Flexible integration
As an additional robot axis, it can be seamlessly integrated into mainstream robot control systems to enable 7-axis coordinated motion, maintaining the optimal orientation of end-effectors such as welding torches or grippers during movement.
4、Improved efficiency
By moving the robot instead of transferring work-pieces, idle time is reduced. It also enables a more compact and flexible production line layout, allowing quick changeovers between different production tasks.
5、Cost reduction
One robot with a 7th axis can replace multiple fixed robots or complex conveying systems, reducing equipment investment and maintenance costs. The ground rail is also easy to install, helping shorten project lead time.
The 7th axis series is an auxiliary linear motion platform. This series offers 5 types of protective covers: SST is the coverless type, SNT is the semi-enclosed type, SCT is the fully-enclosed type, SFT is the bellow cover type, SPT is the anti-step type. The ground rail is the most common and widely used installation form of the 7th axis. This configuration offers two options: CST is the circular ground rail, SBT is the belt driven ground rail. It uses a full servo drive system, delivering high speed, high precision, and low noise, while extending the working range of multi-joint robots. Its good dust and contamination resistance allows stable operation in various environments. With full closed-loop control technology, it enables coordinated motion planning and maintains ±0.1 mm repeat positioning accuracy across the entire travel range, balancing dynamic stability at high speed and precise positioning at micro motion. It is widely used in machine tool loading/unloading, welding, assembly, spraying, inspection, casting, forging, heat treatment, metal cutting, handling, and palletizing, meeting the requirements of Industry 4.0 automated and unmanned production.
