Rotary Motor with Fixed Mount

Product Principle

A rotary motor consists of a rotor and stator. The rotor is the load itself or directly connected to the load, and is equipped with permanent magnets. The stator is fixed to the base and contains multiple coils. Based on the electromagnetic principle, energizing the coils generates a rotating magnetic field, which directly drives the permanent magnet rotor to rotate. The rotor speed is determined by the frequency of the applied current, while its position is controlled by the phase of the current.

The direct-drive design connects the motor rotor directly to the load, eliminating intermediate transmission components such as gearboxes, reducers, and pulleys. This removes transmission backlash and minimizes mechanical transmission errors, significantly improving system rigidity and dynamic response.

Integrated high-resolution sinusoidal encoder feedback enables repeatability of up to ±0.5 arcsec. Axial and radial runout at the load mounting surface are controlled to the micrometer level, meeting the demanding requirements of precision alignment and inspection applications.

3. Compact Design with High Torque Density

A large-diameter, short-length configuration combined with a multi-pole electromagnetic design delivers high torque density within a compact footprint. Continuous torque ranges from 1 N·m to several tens of N·m, providing a higher power density than conventional servo motors of comparable size and meeting the requirements of most medium-speed, high-torque applications.

4. Maintenance-free Operation and Long Service Life

The direct-drive structure eliminates gearbox lubrication, belt tensioning, and cam wear. With fewer mechanical wear components, the motor supports extended maintenance intervals and reliable long-term operation. Operating noise can be as low as 20 dB, while the reduced mechanical complexity helps lower total lifecycle costs.

With an outer diameter of less than 200 mm, this series is specifically designed for high-precision rotary applications where installation space is limited.
