The stator and forcer are the basic components of a linear motor. The stator is typically composed of permanent magnets that generate a magnetic field, while the forcer contains electromagnetic coils and moves linearly along the stator. When current flows through the mover coils, an electromagnetic field is generated, interacting with the stator’s magnetic field to produce force, driving the mover in linear motion. The TUM features a coreless mover and U-shaped stator, providing a direct replacement solution for compatible linear motor systems. By eliminating the iron core, the coreless mover and U-shaped stator design effectively remove cogging effects and fluctuations in magnetic attraction commonly associated with conventional iron-core motors. This enables exceptionally low speed variation and high positioning accuracy.
