■ Inner Structure
■ Product Principle
The GCB series converts motor rotation into linear motion through a system of motor, coupling, and belt, combined with an integrated embedded guide rail structure for linear guidance, enabling the motor to drive the belt for smooth linear movement.
■ Product Advantages
1. Integrated Guideway Design
The aluminum base incorporates steel strips that are ground to form the guideway raceways. By eliminating the conventional ball guideway structure, the module achieves a more compact design in both width and height, while reducing its overall weight by approximately 25% compared with aluminum-base modules of similar specifications.
2. Upgraded Ball Screw Specification
The ball screw is upgraded to a larger specification without increasing the overall module size. The slide is manufactured as an integral cast-steel structure. Based on the characteristics of the module, a dedicated 12 mm OD ball nut was developed specifically for the 40-size model, enabling a lead of up to 20 mm. This increases the vertical load capacity by approximately 50% and enables speeds of up to 1 m/s, significantly outperforming the overall performance of conventional 40-series modules using 10 mm OD ball nuts.
3. Integrated Slide Design
The ball nut and ball slide are integrated directly into the slide assembly, improving consistency and positioning accuracy while eliminating a separate round ball nut and reducing overall weight by approximately 5%. Conventional designs typically install a separate cylindrical ball nut into the slide. Relying on a single cylindrical pin for retention may limit the ability to withstand high loads in vertical and side-mounted orientations, potentially compromising structural safety.
4. More Compact Dimensions
The module is narrower while maintaining the same load capacity, reducing the installation space required by the customer's equipment and allowing for more compact machine layouts.
The G Series is available in two configurations: ball screw drive and belt drive. The GCB is an aluminum-base belt-driven linear module. It incorporates a built-in guideway configuration for a highly integrated structure. Steel strips are fitted into the aluminum base and precision-ground in a single operation, reducing the module’s overall weight by approximately 25% while retaining the required structural strength. The slide is produced as an integral cast-steel component using high-hardenability steel, delivering enhanced rigidity and superior resistance to deformation. Its integrated guiding system provides a balance of precision and reduced weight, achieving an additional weight reduction of approximately 5%. A sealed body helps keep out external contaminants, making the G Series well suited to clean-room applications and other controlled environments. Flatness and straightness are specified at ±0.02/300 mm, supporting consistent and dependable motion accuracy. The compact construction simplifies machine integration and allows either top or bottom locking for installation. Routine servicing can be carried out without removing the cover. Bent-rod grinding and automated adhesive application help achieve smooth, quiet movement, while the three-position adjustable adapter plate allows the module to accommodate various motor configurations.
