1. High Stroke-to-Retracted-Length Ratio
The multi-stage telescopic structure overcomes the inherent limitations of conventional single-stage cylinders. When retracted, the individual stages nest inside one another, minimizing the overall installation length. When fully extended, multiple screw stages or synchronized belt drives operate in series to achieve a total stroke up to 2–3 times the retracted length. This configuration effectively solves a common engineering challenge: achieving a long lifting or pushing distance where the available installation space is limited. For example, it enables a mobile robot chassis to achieve a large height adjustment range without compromising ground clearance, or allows long-distance material transfer within a compact equipment enclosure.
2. High Rigidity with Multi-stage Guidance
Each telescopic stage is equipped with a long guide strip. Even at maximum extension, end-point deflection remains well controlled.
Rather than relying solely on conventional metal-to-metal sliding surfaces, each stage incorporates high-performance engineering plastic guide strips with a substantially larger contact width than conventional bearing arrangements. This creates surface support instead of point contact, maintaining concentricity and contact stiffness between the telescopic stages throughout the extension range while effectively distributing radial loads. Even at maximum working extension, end-point deflection under load can be controlled to the micrometer level, allowing end-mounted components such as grippers, platforms, and probes to maintain accurate trajectories during long-distance movement.
3. Integrated Anti-rotation Mechanism
Unlike many electric cylinders that rely on external linear guides or splined shafts to prevent rotation, this product incorporates a dedicated anti-rotation mechanism within the cylinder. The integrated design allows the cylinder to withstand axial thrust while providing controlled torsional rigidity, preventing the end flange or connector from rotating during lifting or pushing operations. For equipment integration, this eliminates the need for external linear guides, anti-rotation brackets, or auxiliary guide shafts, simplifying the mechanical assembly while reducing overall weight and cost. It is particularly well suited to compact automation systems where installation space and motion interference are critical considerations.
